The West defeated the East 2-1 in Ft Thomas. Simon Kenton's Bryan Kennedy scored the first goal for the West. Contratulations to the following Soccer Players for Being selected to Prom Court Brian Chilleli (King) Ryan Duncan Mike Sticklen Matt Kubiak Welcome to the website of the Eagles. We hope you enjoy your visit. Check the 1998 schedule and come see a match this fall. The field is located at 5400 Old Taylor Mill Road In Taylor Mill Ky. We need someone to take over the website. Please contact Bruce Lowry. I will train you! I am very busy umpiring baseball, reffing soccer and basketball. Also Nick will be attending Thomas More and playing soccer this fall. Soccer is very special at Scott High. Hard work and dedication from the Coaches, players, and parents have turned the Scott High boys soccer program into one of the finest in the Northern Kentucky area. Scott Soccer is more than winning and losing. We are a family. In addition to loyal fans, we have one of the finest fields in Northern Ky. It is one of the few fields dedicated only to soccer. The field contains lights and a sprinkler system. Special thanks to Mr. Bob Luckhardt and many of the parents for all the time they have spent improving the pitch. We do need a scoreboard. If anyone has any information or suggestions as to where we may obtain one, please email the contact below. Our announcer, Mr. John Barwell, makes going to the matches even more special. His special talent for announcing matches did not go unnoticed last year. He was recruited and agreed to announce the district matches last year at Dixie. John and his wife Cathy have spent many hours working with the coaches and players. 1998 SummaryRecord: 12-7 District Champions 2nd year in a row. Congrats Eagles. defeated Villa Madonna defeated Simon Kenton 2-0 Goals By Torbin Feil and Brady Niehues Assists By Brett Gavin and Kevin Borg Host regionals on Monday 10/26 10/26 5:30 Scott 1 VS Boone Co. 3 Goals: Chris Barwell Assists: Nick Lowry This was a disappointing loss to Boone after defeating them twice in the regular season 2-0 each time. Awards:1998 Soccer banquetCo-MVP Chris Barwell Co-MVP Kevin Borg Eagle Award Bryan Rust Defensive Player of Year Dave Luckhardt 100% Award Matt Kubiak Most Improved Player Jeff Jackson 1997 SummaryRecord: 12-9 Upset Win: Dixie Heights @ Dixie in district. Erased 2-0 deficit to win 3-2. My point was going to be that at half-time of that game, Scott was down 2-0. Shortly into the 2nd half, Kevin Moreland fired a rocket that not only put us on the board, but ignited the entire Scott team. In that way, he did score the winning goal because he set something in motion that just wouldn't stop. Matthew was fortunate enough to put in the winning goal, but he benefited from the momentum that Kevin started, as did the rest of the team. We're proud of all the boys who just wouldn't quit fighting for it that night. Kevin had a lot of fire. Even though it technically may not have been the winning goal, it was certainly memorable! Winning goal: Matt Kubiak District Champions: Defeated Simon Kenton 3-2. Defeated Brossart in regional 1-0 in 99 minutes and 50 seconds. Goals: Matt Kubiak Assist: Nick Lowry Lost to Ryle in regional semifinal 1-0 on a late goal. The Eagles had a good year considering they had little varsity experience because 12 seniors graduated in 1996.
